The peaceful setting that you have created to do your meditation is the foundation for your development of internal concentration. Concentration becomes a peaceful awareness, a lack of self-doubt, an art that will become easier and easier   …   and the benefits spill back out into daily life. You will see your challenges as hurdles over which you secretly bound as you traverse through your meditations. Life is no longer controlling you. Goals are no longer out of reach. Peacefulness is a state of mind which becomes second nature   …   and as natural as breathing. You are in control.

In the beginning, meditation will work first on your mental and emotional state of mind. When you are comfortable in your bath, breathe deeply and exhale fully. You need to be in the present wherever you are, and with whatever you are doing …   but by being so   …   by being in the present   …   you are being calm and without expectation. Closing your eyes is strictly optional. Falling asleep is strictly forbidden, so a clear mental focus should exist within you. And you have the power to create within yourself that clear mental focus.

It is possible that finding such a space in our higher consciousness could prove at first to be a difficult task. Color can be very important to a attaining this proper mental space. For illustrative purposes, right now use your higher consciousness to imagine a floating cloud. You have captured a visual thought. Hold the thought of that cloud.

Through the captured thought of that cloud, I now suggest you do some color therapy. I suggest further that you relax your body – that you balance your sense of your body while breathing in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

Imagine the color violet, or perhaps imagine pure white light. This color governs the head (or the crown chakra), and through this chakra one may ultimately reach the feeling of integration with a higher source, which I will refer to as God. Imagine a violet cloud moving towards you. Every time you inhale through your nose, imagine you are pulling this cloud closer to your head (to your crown chakra). Radiating from this cloud is pure white light. Imagine this light filling the room. The light is clearing out any negativity with which you had entered the room. You are at peace with yourself as this cloud hovers above your head, like a soft pillow of love. Enjoy this feeling of serenity. The more you imagine these colors of white light and violet light, the higher your energy will expand above your head. Violet light governs your highest energy vortex (or the seventh chakra, the crown chakra), the upper brain, the pineal gland, and the third eye.

As our bodies begin to relax and our breathing becomes more regular our ability to visualize color becomes easier. Also, the use of different colored candles in visual color balancing is vital. Mentally choose two colors to work with during meditation.  Two colors open enough energy pathways for you so that you can experiment with elevated spiritual connections and can allow your inner spirit to step outside your body.
